Kanokov pledged to give private ownership right to solve land crisis

Nalchik/Agency Caucasus – During a round-table meeting, which took place at Public Chamber of Russian Federation, President of Kabardino-Balkaria Arsen Kanokov said that one and a half year later they will give private ownership right of lands to people.

“We decided to give the lands to people living there” said Kanokov and stated that in this way it will be possible to solve the ‘land crisis’. Kanokov plans to solve the land disputes between villages until the end of his term (2015).

Kanokov’s attendance to meeting was unexpected for attendants. After Kanokov learned about the topic of the meeting, he contacted with Maksim Shevchenko, journalist and member of Public Chamber of RF and participated to meeting.

Residents of Nartan town in Chegem district of Kabardino-Balkaria stated in a letter which was sent to Russian President Dmitry Medvedev on 6 April that, while administration of Kabardino-Balkaria keeps thinking, some people are trying to invade the lands close to all settlements. KU/ÖZ/CY
