‘Mothers of Beslan’ could not meet with Medvedev

Beslan/Agency Caucasus – Aneta Gadieva, member of ‘Mothers of Beslan’, said that the meeting on behalf of the survivors of 2004 Beslan tragedy, with president of RF Dmitry Medvedev was canceled at the last moment.

 

At the meeting which was to be held on 5 May, members of ‘Mothers of Beslan’ Susanna Dudieva and Elvira Tuaeva were planning to share their views about problems in the process of official investigation, social aid for the victims of the tragedy and anti-terror campaign. However, after the meeting was canceled, Susanna Dudieva and Elvira Tuaeva decided to turn back to North Osetia from Moscow. 

 

According to Gadiyeva’s statement, Medvedev had urgency so they had to delay the meeting. It’s not clear that when the meeting will be held. Medvedev promised a meeting to the ‘Mothers of Beslan’ during his North Osetia visit in February. KU/ÖZ/CY
