‘We fed Caucasus enough’

Moscow/Agency Caucasus – During a protest organized by Russian Civil Union in the center of Moscow on 23 April, participants protested government’s budget policy for North Caucasian republics with slogans like ‘We fed Caucasus enough!’

Coordinator of the movement Aleksandr Hromov said: “We are in favor of budgetary equality of rights for all Russian regions. Financial sources should be allocated to other Russian regions where poverty and disaster reigns and the huge sources that are allocated to North Caucasian Republics must be controlled seriously.” Besides, Hromov indicated that, people are fed up with Caucasian teenagers’ behaviors in streets, schools and universities.

Organizator of the protest Vladimir Tor claimed that Caucasus is a ‘crocodile’ consuming Russians. “The burden of a Chechenian to budget is 10 times higher than a Russian” said Tor.

Organizators of the protest said that Kremlin and Princes in Caucasus are the only sides that are glad with ‘terror-loan-terror’ cycle and they said the meeting has nothing to do with xenophobia.

The protesters, numbered about 400, carried nationalist symbols and Russian Flags. The protest has ended without any incidents. KU/OZ/CY
