Brussles hosts administration of Chechen Republic of Ichkeria

Brussels/Agency Caucasus – Members of the administration of the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria met on April 7-8 in Brussels, capital of Belgium, discussed internal and external issues, and formed some decisions.

The meeting was presided by Jamaldin Saralyapov, Speaker of the Parliament. It hosted State Minister Yaragi Abdullayev, Minister of Information Ilyas Musayev, Adam Borovsky, Honorary Ambassador of the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria to Poland, Ivar Amundsen, Honorary Ambassador of the Republic to Norway, Prof. Karl-Erik Foverskov, Chief of the Danish Committee of Support for Chechnya, international human rights defenders and representatives of the Secretariat of Religion of the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria.

Ahmed Zakayev, Prime Minister of the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria, joined the meeting by telephone from London.

Saralyapov said in his opening remarks that it was through the efforts by the administration of the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria that a political crisis caused by anti-constitutional movements was prevented from growing. His reference by anti-constitutional movements was to the proclamation by resistance leader Dokka Umarov of the Caucasian Emirate.

"Our duty today is to increase the level of our political as well as ideologic attempts to introduce to the world’s societies the contents of our domestic and foreign policies, formed in accordance with the constitution of the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria as well as with the political decisions formerly adopted by heroic leaders of the Chechen state Jokhar Dudayev, Zelimhan Yandarbiyev, Aslan Mashadov and Abdulhalim Sadullayev," Saralyapov said.   

Chief Cechen Public Prosecutor launches investigation

It was important that the Chief Public Prosecutor of the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria launched an investigation into all "national traitors" who put themselves at the service of the occupying Russians after they worked as public officers for the Chechen state, said Saralyapov: "We have to remember to provide necessary assistance as well as support for the guardians of the Chechen state in the person of members of the Resistance movement of the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria."

Investigations were under way into the national traitors accused of gross misconduct towards the Chechen people, said Isa Munayev, Chief Public Prosecutor of the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria. "Investigations are already under way into some formers members of the cabinet as well as into some formers members of the parliament accused of treaty and attempting to distort the structure of the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria." 

Selim Besayev, First Deputy Speaker of the Parliament of the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria and Balavdi Beloyev, member of the parliament, both said that they would support the prosecution.

Raising children with feelings of patriotism

Taus Ashabov, a Chechen of civilian activities, stressed that the Chechen children, scattered across the world, should be given the feelings of patriotism. Ashabov suggested that Chechen sportsmen should be invited games, these games should start with the playing of the national anthem of the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria, and the flag of the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria should be raised before each game began. Ashabov further said that all these would play a significant role in educating the Chechen children with the feelings of patriotism. The Chechen children achieved great success in sports in Belgium, added Ashabov.   

‘Stick to religion and tradition’

Ziyauddin Beloyev, the Chechen religious authority, said that the religious education of the Chechen children should be maintained so that they could stay away negative impacts of the modern age. Beloyev called on all Chechens living in different countries to stick to their customs, tradition and religious beliefs.

"The Chechen youth is so conscious as not to be deterred by the ideologists of Islam who serve the terrorist state of Russia and its colonialist alliances from tracking the path of truth," said Sultan Arsayev. Said Ibrahimov, a Chechen defender of the human rights, talked about his and his friends’ activities in defending the human rights.
